POSITION SUMMARY:

The Executive Account Director is responsible for the sale of company products, services, and solutions to a key OEM account. The role will maintain positive customer relations while directing all facets of the Company’s business development activities involving sales of manufactured products and/or services. The incumbent will serve as the primary customer point of contact for all matters regarding the company and the sale, delivery and support of its products and services.

PRINCIPAL ACCOUNTABILITIES:

Build customer relationships and intimacy, and assume the lead role for executive level interface

Responsible for achieving Interiors BU scorecard for business development objectives and appropriate proposal tracking

Responsible for contributing to the development of pursuit strategies in conjunction with marketing teams

Develop and drive Interiors level customer road-maps at key OEM accounts

Responsible for cross interior portfolio coordination, ensuring we have a one company look and feel

Coordinate SBU President customer interaction and cadences

Maintain constant awareness of customer demands and competitor offerings regarding products, conditions and terms (e.g. financing; NRE cost sharing and amortization; warranty and service and support issues, offset strategies) and in turn help to develop Rockwell Collins’ unique initiatives to provide a strategic, competitive advantage

Serve as the Interiors focal for the broader Collins Aerospace

DIMENSIONS/SCOPE OF POSITION:

Strategic relationships with executive level customers and other stakeholders

Understand and share the customer perspective and initiatives

Assist the portfolio's leadership in building relationships and progressing deals

Escalate customer concerns and aid in resolutions where appropriate

KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS:

Bachelor degree in Engineering, Business or equivalent

10 years interiors / aerospace account management / marketing experience, including in-depth knowledge of customer specifications and contracting techniques

Demonstrated ability to organize, motivate, lead and possess excellent communication skills

Understanding of sales strategy and execution and the ability to create winning strategies
