Job Description:
Shell is looking for a Retail Account Manager within the East Retail Team, to work with Retail Energy companies and C&I customers, handling pricing, LDC gas scheduling, forecasting, balancing, and account optimization. This position will seek to increase transaction flow and GM, and develop efficiencies around how we serve new and existing customer relationships.
Accountabilities include:
Contribute to the delivery of Gross Margin and Economic Profit results related to retail supply in the North American market.
Handle account management related to retail gas opportunities, including pricing, usage forecasting, balancing and nominating deliveries, supply optimization, and prevention of penalties.
Serve as a market expert and tariff across multiple LDCs in the Eastern US.
Ensure maximum transactions with each counter party.
Maximize unit margin for every transaction.
Work closely with Customer Support and Volume Actualization to ensure accurate invoicing.
Work closely with Gas Operations pipeline schedulers to prevent volumetric cuts and plan for flow restrictions.
Maintain a productive relationship with all Trade Desks.
Continually monitor market and sector penetration.
Successfully add value to regional tradebook targets.
Build and maintain productive supply relationships with customers, prospects, and other gas suppliers.
The individual will need skills related to business development, account management, and market/industry knowledge which will allow the candidate to successfully optimize and consolidate market opportunities.

Requirements:
Must have legal authorization to work in the US on a full-time basis for anyone other than current employer.
Bachelor’s degree in engineering, business or other relevant field of study required.
Minimum of three (3 ) years of combined energy, structuring, operations, origination, gas trading, and /or sales management experience required.
Exposure to Eastern US retail energy markets is strongly preferred.
Gas scheduling experience is a must.
Exposure to natural gas commodity pricing and transactions is a must.
Familiarity with contract negotiations is preferred.
