What the day will look likeWorking with the Regional branch staff as required, to uncover and develop new group & retail opportunities and increase penetration levels on existing groupsDeveloping presentations for prospective groups; assisting with introductions to prospective clients and providing professional resource supportMust be comfortable presenting to both colleagues and clients alikeLiaising regularly with the Commercial Account Executives and advising on status, group developments and/or arranging joint meetingCompleting the required group documentation as outlined (Group Application, Group Marketing Plan, etc.) to ensure proper distribution to all interested partiesWorking with group insurance carriers to place selected groups and monitoring the development of existing groupsDeveloping and implementing an annual marketing plan for existing and onboarded groupsWork collaboratively with the group sponsor to implement all plans and employee meetingsAssisting in the education of branch staff relative to the sales and service requirements for group & retail business developmentWith the marketing team, preparing group marketing material and ensuring its availability for group developmentSome travel required within ON, TO and Eastern CanadaLeading by example, demonstrating, and sharing with all lines of business the importance of best practiceOther related duties and responsibilities as assignedHow this opportunity is different This position delivers first class customer service, maintains, and develops relationships with potential customers. The ideal candidate will have experience negotiating, attention to detail and strong time management skills. Skills and experience that will lead to success2 years of relevant sales/account management experience, preferably in insuranceStrong negotiation skills, with a proven record in sales performance, including online salesAn enthusiastic team player with strong relationship and empathy building skills who is capable of selling reasons for change to a diverse range of clientsMust hold or be willing to acquire a RIBO LicenseExcellent analytical and numerical skillsStrong interpersonal skills – able to communicate and engage well across organisational levelsWell developed influencing skills and the ability to achieve success through othersA thorough understanding of different sales processes and methodologies and the value of marketingHow we support our colleagues In addition to our comprehensive benefits package, we encourage a diverse workforce.
