Sales Account Manager Jobs

A sales account manager is responsible for handling sales accounts of clients nation-wide. Responsibilities of a sales account manager position include meeting and exceeding sales targets for the various regions assigned; ensuring training to the account executives; handling administrative issues or disciplinary issues in the management of account executives; assigning sales quotas to account executives and account managers; meeting customers at their homes or offices and converting the opportunity; handling objections from customers and closing the sale; and coordinating with various departments like technical department, marketing department, and customer service. A sales account manager typically reports to a sales director.
A sales account manager should have a bachelor's degree or an associate's degree in a relevant field. Several years of progressively responsible experience in account management is essential. Excellent negotiation skills and communications skills are essential for a sales account manager role.
